Pearland Pirates Coaches 2026
We are so excited to announce that Coach Michelle is back as our Head Coach this year for the Pearland Pirates' 2026 season! We can't wait for a great, fun season ahead! Here is a little information about Coach Gatlin:
Coach Michele is the Head Water Polo Coach and Assistant Swim Coach at Dawson High School and also teaches French. She is excited to bring fun and energy to our summer team at the practices and meets! She is also excited about our Fun Friday practices! Coach Michele have twins that play collegiate water polo and lacrosse and are currently in their junior year. Welcome back Coach Michele!!
We are excited to welcome back Abigail as one of our assistant coaches for the Pearland Pirates! Coach Abby brings with her a wealth of experience and a passion for water sports. She swam and played varsity water polo for four years at Dawson High School, where she graduated in 2023. Abigail also coaches for South Side Waterpolo club. Currently, Abigail continues her water polo career at Augustana College in Illinois, where she plays for the college team! Her dedication to the sport, along with her background in competitive swimming and water polo, makes her a perfect addition to our coaching staff. We’re thrilled to have Abby's energy, experience, and leadership to help inspire and guide our swimmers this summer!!
Welcome back Assistant Coach Laura! Coach Laura is returning for her 4th year as assistant coach for the Pirates! We can't wait to see the fun and enthusiasm she will bring to the team and our swimmers! Laura currently attends Stephen F Austin State University and was a varsity swimmer for Dawson High School. Laura has been a long time Jr coach of the Pirates before joining us as Assistant Coach in 2023. Welcome back Laura!
